Furholmen has a long history. The most heard about is the bathing story.
In the early 1920s, it is documented that Furholmen in Strömstad was an organized sea bath.
It had been discovered that it was not dangerous to swim in the sea. And above all not without a doctor's supervision.
People had even begun to understand that it could be healthy.
Kallbadhus began to compete with sea baths and Strömstad had a perfect bath at Furholmen.
Small boats began to carry traffic out there, which were then changed to larger boats as the number of guests increased.
In 1945, Birgit came, which could take a little over 60 people. She ran the line until 2012.
Times change all the time and today Stjärn af Koster, a name that originally comes from Koster and Kosterbårtarna in 1929, operates
